Threatened with a Perm Ban

My account has been temporarily banned twice now because of "scamming"

These accusations have been made because of ninja looting with Master looter. I have looked many times through forums with Blue posts as well as off your own support page and concluded this statement-- The master looter controls the loot and can not be punished for taking loot because of the raids consent to raid with him.

I understand how ninjaing is morally wrong and I really do not want to do it because I tend to enjoy PVP more. The thing that bothers me is that now, a GM has informed me, that if there is ANY ACCOUNT ACTION (name calling, inappropriate naming, further ninjaing, spamming), offenses which would normally only receive a warning (not even a black mark) would no completely and permanently close my account.

Not that I intend on being a "bad" player its just that I hate this feeling that all my work may be completely erased because of two small incidents in Ice crown citadel. I wish that I could have at least one black mark removed so that i may have some stress taken off.

I have an alt hunter whose name may be considered inappropriate to some players and I feel scared to play him because of the thought that I might be perm banned.

Can you either give me a free name change or help me by removing one of the marks.

First Banning: I took loot off of saurfang on ICC because people had offered to buy the loot. I was ML. This was considered a scam...I gave the loot for the gold.

Second Banning: I had switched a 25man OS run to ML when the boss was about to die. I HAD NEVER SAID I WASN'T GOING TO MASTER LOOT IT. I had simply forgotten.

If you feel the actions that have been taken against your account are unwarranted or otherwise in error, Lava, I encourage you to send an email to [email protected] and explain the situation. They will be happy to review the issue and offer any additional insight available. That said, the more an account is found to have violated policy, even if unrelated to other violations, the harsher the penalties become. This is known as the Penalty Volcano and is designed to encourage policy adherence in all aspects of the game.

You may wish to review the Penalty Volcano here as well as our policies page in general, as it can help you avoid any unwanted recourse for policy violations.

Regarding an inappropriate name on your hunter, if you create an in-game petition or send an email to [email protected] explaining the issue, we may be able to assist in the renaming of the character to something that is not in violation. Typically, self-reports are handled far more leniently than if the name or infraction is reported by a third party.
