Locked into raid that I did not click YES to!

I decided to come to the forums since the in game customer service is a complete worthless laugh. Honestly, the customer service ticket system in game is so worthless, they have never ONCE been able to assist me. But I've heard good things about the forum support so I decided to give it a try.

I saw someone spamming Trade for an ICC25, and said I'd join on my 80 Tauren Druid. So I am summoned in and notice that a boss was killed, so I decided I did not want to stay. At the same moment I decided I'd rather log off instead of wait around in Dalaran for another group. I logged off with the timer still up because LOGIC would assume that if you do not click Yes and you log off that you will be ported to the nearest graveyard like when you click No.

So a little bit later I decided I'd rather do some PVP so I logged back on to find I was saved into the ICC25 group. I did NOT click Yes to stay with the group. I immediately opened a ticket, and minutes later it was closed saying they couldn't reach me. That is bullcrap because I was so mad I did nothing but sit there and wait for a response.

Seriously, whoever is closing the tickets without trying to speak to the people, FIRE THEIR ASS PLEASE. That is the worst possible customer service you can provide. Then I open another ticket and it's closed before someone talks to me but they send me an in game mail instead saying "Sorry I am nothing more than someone paid to tell everyone there is nothing I can do to help, but thanks for your money sucker. Haha. Goodbye."

Seriously? This is what you call Customer Service. It's laughable. I started my Network Engineering career through Technical Support, so I know how good customer service should work. I've worked for IBM, Compaq, Motorola, American Express, and a handful of other technology companies who's customer service is lightyears ahead of Blizzards.

All I am asking is for my raid ID for ICC to be reset since I did not click Yes to be saved to that ICC25 group. I have not done ICC10 this week either, so resetting my raid ID for the Icecrown zone is not a big deal. Someone is just being a lazy jerk and accepting their paycheck while doing nothing to earn it. Can I please (For the Love of God) get my ICC25 raid ID #23565088 on Icecrown reset so I can manage to get into an ICC25 either tonight or tomorrow.

Thank you,

Moogatron of Icecrown

I would like to remind you that this department is not your whipping boy, Moogatron, and you are not entitled to spew insults and vitriol regarding our staff. It especially rankles when said name calling and vitriol is blatantly incorrect =(. Offhand I can see no fewer than 7 instances in the past where our staff have assisted you regarding the restoration or transfer of items alone, let alone the other issues we've assisted with in the past. Let's avoid needless hyperbole and name calling please, as it does neither you, nor the concern you wish to bring before us, any credit at all.

The pop up window is a countdown until your character is saved to the instance, and it states that you must leave the instance or click 'No' if you do not wish to be saved to the instance. Logging out is not leaving the instance, and in fact, characters can sometimes persist in-game for a period of time after log out.

Reviewing the activities that were occurring at the time though, it does not appear that you were at all interested in leaving this instance. In fact, while you did indeed log out at around the time you were saved to the instance while announcing that you were attempting to recalibrate a voice chat program, then it seems that you came back in short order and accepted the quest "Deprogramming" two minutes later.

You proceeded to participate in several attempts on Lady Deathwhisper's life with the same raid you were saved to.

This issue was investigated, and the response you received was appropriate to the situation as indicated by the results of that investigation. While I'm sorry to see that your raid was not successful, that does not put us in a position to reset your raid ID to enable you to try again.

In the future, if you do not wish to be saved to a raid ID, then it would be best to leave the instance when prompted. This is especially important since in the vast majority of circumstances we are simply not in a position to reset raid IDs.

I'm sorry if there was any confusion regarding this situation, but I wish you luck on other raids in the future.
