Authentication Code problem

Okay, it beens like 4-5 hours I'm looking for help all around Internet and trying to call Blizzard directly (still trying...) because I have a huge problem here.

First, the story. I came back from an ordinary school day and came back ordinary from school to my house. I opened my computer and started World of Worcraft, like I did all this week. So I enter my username (which is now an e-mail adress) and my password, like I did everyday. But, this time, not like any of the other day, Blizzard asks me for an "Authentication Code" coming from my "Authenticator". I read everywhere that this was optional and can be activated if you wanted a better protection of your account. The problem is that I never activated that, I never had an Authenticator and will never buy an Authenticator. I added that Pre-Paid game card Monday this week, and now I'm losing my time on that.

Second, the question. How come does Blizzard asks me, anywhere I try to log in (World of Warcraft game, World of Warcraft forum and Blizzard.net, not the forum at least) that "Authentication Code" of 6 numbers if I never asked to activate that? Does that means I got hacked and will never get my account back?

Finally, I'd like to thanks in advance anyone that will help me with my problem. I will wait patiently until I got an answer, even if I'm losing my time...

Q u o t e:
Yes, it means that you were compromised. Whoever attached the Authenticator to your account had to have your account name and password in order to do so.

Before you do anything else, secure your computer. This is usually done with the aid of keyloggers, and if you don't remove that first, any recovery efforts on your part will be in vain.

Once you're secured, call Billing to remove the Authenticator. Have your CD keys available when doing so.

Once you have access to the account again, you can go about fixing any damage that was done to it.

Further information and procedures can be found in this thread:

Thank you for the thorough write up, Pahanda. As an additional note, you can e-mail the Billing department in lieu of calling them to report a malicious authenticator and request removal:
