Trial account not upgraded...

So I received this email telling me that my account has been upgraded to a full retail version of WOTLK but when I try to send money or whisper friends It won't let me telling me that trial accounts are not allowed to do so. So hence why I'm confused.

Then what you're likely experiencing are temporary trial restrictions (still inplace from your initial trial-to-classic upgrade). I recently explained these restrictions in another thread:

When an account is upgraded digitally, level and profession skill caps will be removed. Some temporary trial restrictions will remain in place, however, until payment is finalized. These restrictions include, but are not limited to:

    - Inability to trade via the auction house, mailbox, or player-to-player.
    - In-Game public chat channels will be unavailable. (Players will still be able to communicate using say, party, or whispers).
    - Characters will be unable to create or join existing guilds.


As your fellow players have noted, these temporary trial restrictions should dissipate within 72 hours of the digital upgrade.


I'm showing that your purchased occurred less than 72 hours ago, but not by much. Those restrictions should be dropping soon. :)
