For at least 2 months now, I've been getting upwards of 30 scam website emails each day. I have them set to go straight through to my spam box, but the filter also applies to genuine Blizzard emails, meaning I still need to pick through a lot of them to make sure it's nothing important. Is there anyone else having a problem this severe? It seems to have started when I signed up for one of those account auditing sites like beimba.

Are you receiving these emails at your registered email address, Kamanth? If so, now may be a good time to create a completely new email address, one that you will only use for your Battle.net account.

Some things to keep in mind when creating this address:

  • Avoid using a name that you've used online before: previous screen names, character names, website URLs you're associated with, forum handles from other communities, etc.
  • Similarly, avoid using passwords you've used before.
  • Once you've created this address and registered it to your account, make sure that you do not use this address for anything except Battle.net.

This should help reduce the phishing emails you receive. For any that you continue to receive at your existing address, though, please feel free to forward them to [email protected]. You may also want to flag them specifically as "Spam" and/or report them to your email provider. :)
