To GMs- Phishing Scammers

Blade's Edge realm I have received a message from toon "Blizzardz" twice this week first stating that "I have won 3500 gold go to this site to login and claim" then today a message from him saying that "Blizzard wants me to try out these new rare test mounts and to go this site to claim". Why is it that they cant seem to get rid of this guy.

The idea I had (and maybe there is already a thing like this) is if Blizzard would track and monitor any person who makes a toon with any words on a key word list, such as Blizzard, Admin, GM, Support, Battle net ; including all chat (whispers, spamming etc...).

NOTE: anyone who reads this DO NOT GO TO ANY OF THESE SITES. more then likely they will install a keylogger virus on your computer and your account will surely be hacked!

As your fellow posters have suggested, Shazboot, should you receive another in-game message of this nature (mail or whisper), please right-click the author's name and click "Report as Spam." This will successfully report the phishing attempt and place all characters on the author's account on ignore for the duration of your login session.

If you believe some form of visible "tracking" as you've described would be a valuable addition to the game, though, please feel free to post within our Suggestions Forum. We'd love to hear from you. :)

giving a fair warning to people who might be gullible enough to go to the sites. Thats all.

As far as getting the word out? You may want to encourage your Guild Leader to update the GMOTD, or if your guild has a forum, create a separate discussion for security awareness. Here are some resources you may want to include within:
