so i submitted a ticket about a ninja that ninja'd my t10 gloves ninja, keyword: ninja let me emphasize that one more time! *grabs mic* NINJA let me go find the wow dictionary and look up what NINJA stands for, its a person who doesnt give a crap about others feelings and likes to take items that theyll probably never end up using :O thats my definition of a ninja anyways let me get on with the story

i was doing voa25 right? i know many will disagree with me but anyways the t10 gloves for tanks dropped and the leader "accidently" gave it to a ret pally with a holy offspec(i think that was his offspec, i remember him healing before).. TANK IS NOT = TO HOLY anyways i asked for them back, "naw they're better than mine" even thought hes ret and was using ret gloves from icc or something he said to submit a ticket if i wanted them so i wasted my time and submitted one with the most FAIL response ive EVER SEEN >:O the NINJERZ has to submit a ticket if THEY want me to have THE GLOVES(the ninja'd item) or they can trade it to me(LOLNINJA) i would've thought that the gm's knew what a ninja is? my ticket was answered in 5 mins then i submitted another and its taken almost 24 hours.. so now im getting ignored for asking for the item that I WON?!

long story short: major upgrade that i won ninja'd, submitted ticket, fail response, submitted another, ignored

ive got more than enough proof, i even offered money to the [person]! would appreciate a response from a blue because this is getting ridicolous, theres almost no point in submitting a ticket because gm's cant do crap in game anymore...

Q u o t e:
i would've thought that the gm's knew what a ninja is?

We're very aware of what a ninja is, Slayerxl, members of a class of 14th-century Japanese mercenary agents who were trained in the martial arts and hired for covert operations such as assassination and sabotage. They usually are associated with throwing stars and nifty two-toed footwear.

As a gaming reference though a Ninja is generally considered someone who takes items or resources that they have not qualified for. I'm sorry, Slayerxl, but that simply isn't possible under our looting mechanics.

Only characters that qualify for a loot drop are able to receive the item. If the Master Looter system was used and the item was rewarded to someone, that item is essentially that persons. They may decide, within 2 hours, to trade the item to another qualifying member of the group but by rights that item is theirs.
Q u o t e:

rofl no it hasnt ive had plenty of cases like this and they were all fixed..

Unlikely, Slayerxl, and I can find no petitions regarding looting disputes on this account. If you'd like to give me the name and realm of the character that you have been submitting reports on I'll be happy to confirm what did happen but as it stands the most recent petition I show submitted from this account is from 2007.
Q u o t e:

any second now im gonna get a response from a blue lieing about what i just said..

Careful.
Q u o t e:

then that term shouldnt have ever been invented? gg it exists

Ah, thank you, Preciousd, posting on this account helps me in researching the claims you made. Don't troll your own thread.

Now, to cover the previous claim that we have assisted with what you consider ninja looting before. We haven't. Unless you are referring to yet another account entirely, the only looting issue that we have assisted with was a Bind on Pick Up issue where you accidentally received an item. This was before the mechanic existed that allowed players to switch the items themselves. You submitted a petition regarding the matter and we addressed it accordingly.

In the end, who the item belongs to depends on what looting method was used and what is done with it. If you use the Master Looting system you are giving the Master Looter permission to do with the loot what they believe best. They may award the item to any qualifying member of the raid/party. If they make an error, meaning they assigned the item to someone they did not intend to and click the confirmation window confirming that they want to send X item to Y person then I'm afraid that item belongs to whomever the item went to. That person may trade the item to another qualifying member if they wish to to keep it.

If you are grouping with someone you may not entirely trust to make these decisions or who has proven careless within their role you may want to rethink joining those particular groups. You may be more comfortable using one of the other looting methods such as Need before Greed where only those who are able to use a particular item are able to roll Need on it. Group Loot is also a good option to use since it is the roll that determines who wins the loot.

I am sorry for whatever frustration this may have caused you, Slayerxl. If you would like to see a change in policy or game mechanic you'll want to provide your feedback on our Suggestion forum.
