Hacked and gear missing.

I'm not sure if this is the right forum to post this in, but I tried calling account/billing, and their automated machine told me all the operators were unavailable and that I should post here.

My issue is a bit confusing, so I'll try to make it as clear as possible.

My account got hacked last night, and they removed everything along with deleting all of my toons. I logged off late at night, slept, then when I woke up this afternoon and tried to log into WoW, my password wouldn't work, and then noticed that my e-mail had 20+ new e-mails in my inbox. All 15-20 e-mails were from Blizzard, e-mailing me about a Hacks/Privacy report, Compromised Account, Password Reset, Character/Item restoration requests, etc., and I had no idea what was going on.

I reset my password then and logged onto my main (this character) and saw that I had a replied ticket (I never opened one though), and when I opened the ticket to view the response, I saw that someone had opened a ticket on my account saying "my account got hacked all the golds and stuffs lost can u plz help me restore it.". The ticket was submitted by the person who hacked my account... I don't know why they would do that. But I got 4 pages of in-game mail containing my missing items and I got most of it back on this character, save for a few things, but it's really only the gear I'm concerned about because other items can be re-acquired easily by myself.

I went onto an alt then, my druid (http://www.wowarmory.com/character-sheet.xml?r=Arathor&cn=Aelfthryth), and I got a lot of my things back in the mail, but after collecting all of my restored items back, there were still many things missing, and about half of my gear was still missing, as you can see from the link I posted to her armory... half of the gear on another alt is gone too. I submitted a ticket and got an immediate response saying that ALL of my items were restored. This isn't the case though; I checked all of my mail and clearly half of my gear has not been restored.

I also went to my Blizzard account, and there is apparently another registered WoW account that is not mine, attached to my Blizzard account which I cannot remove by myself once it's been attached. I'd like it to be detached and deleted from my account because it is not mine and it was created by the person who hacked my account.

If a Blizzard representative could help me, that would be great. Thanks.

Well, first off you absolutely positively need to secure your system.

Next, I'd immediately change your email - which will also change your Battle.net account name.

Do NOT do that until you are certain your system is secure.

This could be a case of malware, and in this instance - sounds like your email may very well be compromised as well.

Next, presuming all that went well, I'd either open a petition - or even email [email protected] to let them review this. Be very specific to the fact that the previous report was NOT from you. They should be able to look into this and get it all sorted out.

I'd also highly recommend adding an authenticator to your account to help keep others out.

I do wish you the best.
