Guildmates Did Not Receive Death's Demise

Hello. My guild recently managed to tackle Yogg0 and two of our guildmates did not receive their Feat of Strength for the Death's Demise title. Their names are Corexar and Mendacity on the Shandris server.

Mendacity has been with us for almost the full 60 days and Corexar has been with us a bit more than a month. Yes, we knew about the 60 day rule before the kill, but we also knew of many people saying that Blizzard was able to look into their situation to see that they weren't part of the problem that got the rule instated in the first place, and awarded them their title. I wouldn't be here bothering you were it not for these reports of Blizz doing right by these others.

We're a fairly small guild that only raids three nights a week. We put in some solid time on Yogg0 back when it was relevant content and continued to try since the ToC week was fairly short, but we always struggled finding a third person to reliably pull out the Beacons. Yogg0 isn't something we've had time to take shots at since ICC hit. I don't think we'd been there since early January or late December. This past week, we allotted more time than we needed to kill Lich King, so we wound up with three hours to spare and decided that since we had a lockout that was clear to Yogg, we'd give it another try. Our former Beacon pullers that had issues were no longer with the guild, so Corexar was the natural choice to fill the spot and he caught on very well. Mendacity is no slouch either. They both made very strong contributions to the kill.

The server that we're on isn't very progressed. We didn't steal Yogg0 from anyone else. We're the only ones that have ever worked on it (we have been on Shandris since last June). No one came to our guild to get this title. We didn't think we'd ever have time to go back. Corexar and Mendacity are both part of our guild. They aren't going anywhere.

We've tried contacting GMs in game, but Corexar wasn't even spoken to directly. Even though he was online, the GM that picked up the ticket just sent him a mail. Another referred me to the Suggestion forum, where some other people were good enough to refer me here. I generally have very positive experiences with Blizz GMs and I try not to add to your workload with frivolous tickets about the Abyss Crystal I missed out on because I left the random group too quickly or other such crap. In the case of Death's Demise though, it's kind of a big deal to those that participated and I know it was quite disheartening to them to not receive their Feat of Strength. I hope that you'll please look into their cases.

Thanks for your time.

The following response was written by one of our new teammates. Because they are still in training and do not yet possess a forum account of their own, they shall be posting via proxy through me.

I do apologize that your guildmates could not share in the glory of this Feat of Strength, Bluebell. Currently, any player that transfers realms is ineligible for first achievements for 60 days from the actual time of transfer. The denial of this Feat of Strength for the two players you mentioned is indeed intended, as it is part of the stated mechanics of the Realm Transfer service.

That said, should you feel this situation merits special consideration, or if you would like the issue to receive another review, the players in question should submit an in-game petition, or send an email to [email protected] explaining what happened. While I can offer no guarantees as to the outcome, I can tell you it will be investigated fully.
