Q u o t e:
I open a ticket and told the GM this story and he said "theres nothing we can do about ninjas anymore.
No, I'm sorry, Trashcan, but the response I see the Game Master providing states that we are unable to assist with such cases. Specifically because there are safe guards in place to ensure a fair method of loot distribution. I don't see where they indicated that we "no longer can do anything about such issues", the phase "no longer" would imply that we once intervened in such disputes and that would be untrue.
Q u o t e:
but theres nothing Blizz can do to me if i do ninja? Is what im asking
Technically speaking, Trashcan, our policies cover a wide range of things and if we feel an action taken runs contrary to spirit of the game we may take actions to address the situation. So, yes, we could take action against your character for a number of reasons. We don't action people for arbitrary reasons though so for the described actions it is unlikely that we would become involved unless we thought that the actions also constituted a scam.
It is important to note that the there are a number of looting mechanics in place and it is vital to use the one that makes the most sense for your group. If you are running an instance with someone that you do not know very well or trust it may be a good idea to only use a Need before Greed or Group Loot system.
The Master Looting system is usually intended for guild runs or runs with friends. If you join a group using the Master Looting system you are giving them permission to distribute the loot how they believe is best.
Q u o t e:
You are free to master loot ANYTHING YOU WANT directly to yourself or anyone else you choose.
You will not be punished, ever, and I challenge a blizzard employee to prove me wrong.
When you join a raid with a master looter, you agree to let that master looter give the loot to whoever he wants. He's free to do whatever he likes and will never be punished for it.
That's just the way things are, mate. Sad but true.
Yes and no, Triflingnome. Though we generally do not become involved in looting disputes there are some conditions which exceed a simple looting dispute and may fall under our scam policy.
