This thread is about Blink and how it should be improoved to actually help mages do better dps, in a similar manner to warlocks's demoncid circle.
First some back ground...
So Zarhym is on another thread, trying to deal with this:

We're not in the business of lying to players.

And I responded with:

Let me help you with this one:
WoW's first game manual: "primary nukes" ~~"2nd in damage to rogues"
Tseric: "Jaw dropping damage"
KAlgan: "Kings of AoE"
GC: "blink has been fixed"
Invisibility - Makes you blind.
Mirror Image - They don't even look like the mage, literally, when spawned (weapon not drawn or wand, etc". Let alone be so identical that enemy players are fooled by them, and can not figure out which ine is the real mage.
Brain Freeze - Albeit, next patch when it launches Frostfirebolt, there will be some actual "freeze" to it.
This shows a pattern to me, which is why I talking to you from my DK.

After I posted that I realized how demonic circle actually helps locks with dps, especially in places like WG.
In WG, locks will place their DC on a safe ledge, where melee can't get to them, then go down, and attack. And here is the cool thing, in WG, they do this so that when they teleport to the DC, they are still facing the enemy, because of how they placed the DC. This is especially helpful to the bottom ledges in WG. I've also seen them do that in HoL on the last boss, to use it, just before Loken does that nasty aoe thing.
After they teleport, they are facing the boss, and can target him immediately.
To a mage with Blink, the whole DC thing was a slap in our faces. If we could at least have the ability to be facing a desired direction before/after the blink, our dps could improove a lot.
Take Festergut. The spore spawns, now, we might be faced towards where everyone is supposed to meet up, and thus our blink takes us there, while still be able to face the boss ~~enough~~ to keep attacking him. But, after the blink, there is no choice, but to turn, so after we get the spore debuff, we can head back to our spots. This kills our dps. Yeah yeah I know, we could pop Ice Block on the first purge, whatever, this example gets my point across. So many fights eat mage dps, simply because we have to turn away.
Would it really be too much to ask, to have macro's for Blink, so we could at least turn our selves in some desired direction, before and after the blink? I would really help our dps.
