We actually have been doing something about it and your reports are helping us with this process. We will not announce or let you know what the outcome is, but we can assure you something is being done.04/14/2011 04:42 AMPosted by CornpopsWhy can't "Insert color" just go into random bg's and just ban the bots in the games. 90% of all bg's have atleast 1-2 bots in them. if we the players can tell who the bots are in bg's i am sure "insert color" can also...
03/15/2011 06:17 PMPosted by BashiokWe’re in the process of stepping up our detection and tracking to log and action players that are botting, or habitually AFKing in the Battlegrounds. We’ll be taking aggressive action and removing earned items, Honor Points, and ultimately suspending or even banning accounts of those that are found to be botting or habitually AFKing. It’s a sophisticated level of monitoring we’re undertaking. No one actively playing in the Battlegrounds normally should be concerned that they’ll be actioned.

I for one am flabbergasted.
As a member of a frustrated player community, I have to ask, why not?
That is, why not provide feedback? As much as any particular answer, simple, honest, feedback is what is desired. Players are frustrated about battlegrounds. Why not provide them with information about ongoing efforts? Why not tell us when you have made improvements. Then you could ask us to compare our battleground experiences and see for ourselves what improvements have been made.
For the life of me, I really don't understand how y'all decide on your policies, nor can I understand how you don't see how frustrating they can be.
Sincerely,
Pendergrass
▲▲ I believe Danvers, said it best. If we made announcements of our actions, bots will already start working on their next plan to circumvent it. Not to mention, that we never provide information on the actions that have been applied to other accounts or closures on any account in the past.04/14/2011 11:44 AMPosted by DanversBecause when they did, the people who made the bots could figure out how they were discovered, and plan against it for the next iteration.
