Ok, i've been playing WoW for many months on the same internet connection but recently my game takes forever to load my toon list, then when i select a toon it goes to the loading screen, fully loads, music stops, and just sits their. A common bug it seems (or whatever you'd like to call it) but I've searched the internet and come across many a forum and many complaints on this exactly issue, all with absolutely no comment from a blue or any reason/fix. So now I am paying 15 bucks a month to have my game unplayable with no explanation. I've tried everything recommended by other people with the problem and even gone as far as to uninstall and re-download the entirety of WoW vanilla to Cata with no results. So then, I would really enjoy knowing What the hells going on and why the hell I can no longer load into the game on any of my toons where as i previously had been doing it fine for quite some time. (also dont tell me "restart your router" BS, I use the internet provided by my university, as I have for quite some time now [That is to say its worked fine before]).

*edit*
Also note that I can play all of my other games with no issue, (all Source Games [CSS,ect.], Aion, Minecraft, Battlefield, ect.)

Andraeri,

We don't ignore issues here on the forums, it's just impossible for us to answer every post. If you require a response from Blizzard, then the best thing to do is contact us by phone or email:

Regarding your issue, if you are getting stuck on a loading screen it normally means there isn't enough talking between your system and the servers. There are many different things that can cause this so there isn't a single fix.

You mentioned you're on a campus internet. Are you connected wirelessly or wired? What kind of network card are you using? Have you updated your network drivers?

Andraeri,

I understand your frustration. Trust me when I say, we want to help you get back in to the game too. There is no single fix for this type of issue though due to the number of different causes.

We need to narrow down those causes for your situation. Can you try a wired connection? Or do you have a different network you can attempt to log in from?

I can load fine in on my home network

That's our first clue, and it isn't a promising one.

Lets see if we can get some more information along the connection path. Here are the steps to run the Pathping command (Windows XP):

1) Click Start and then Run
2) Type "cmd" and press Enter
3) In the Command window (DOS prompt), type 'pathping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx > C:\pathping.txt' (without the quotes where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP to your realm) and press the Enter key.

Steps to run the Pathping command (Windows Vista/7)

1) Click Start and in the "Start Search" field type "cmd"
2) Right click on the CMD icon and select Run as - Administrator to start the Command window
3) In the Command window, type 'pathping xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx > C:\pathping.txt' (without the quotes where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP to your realm) and press the Enter key.

To find the IP of your realm, try using this link. http://www.wowpedia.org/US_realm_list_by_datacenter

It doesn't look like a campus block since you are able to log in to your account with the game. It's just the realm you can't log in to.

The pathping shows your connection is moving until the hand off between hop 7 and 8. This is something the network administrator would need to bring up with their ISP provider. You can contact your network administrator and ask to have it looked into.
