Sorry for my late response, folks.

As you are aware Thrall seems to have dropped everyone and is not allowing you back. Our Realm Technicians are looking into the matter and we hope to have it resolved as quickly as possible.

I'll provide what updates I can if they become available.

I understand that this as well as several previous issues may be frustrating but I ask you to remain civil.

So they put a link to this post in that 31 page old thread when they locked it, yet still havent given us any kind of news.

Yes, Rinjii, I indicated that I would post in this thread. I'm not certain how you post but mine don't spontaneously generate on their own, I actually have to spend the time to type them out.

Thrall crashed during our LK fight with him at 9.4% can you please comment on that.

Congratulations on getting him to 9.4%. Unfortunately, what it seems like is you are looking for some kind of comment that we'll be able to provide compensation due an unexpected removal from the game.

I'm sorry, Waukeen, that is not something that we will be able to provide. I can wish you good luck in your next encounter.

so since i was farming for a pet when the server went down any clue if this will help with drop rates- or hurt them....??? i really want my dark whelp.

Drop changes will remain the same. :)

I haven't received an update yet but I hope to shortly.

Also i'm curious as to why, with all the proof that we killed him you guys are not allowed to do anything. What is the rule that prevents that?

If you killed the boss have the Raid Leader submit a petition. If that can be verified we may be able to help award what dropped.

Chances are the CS reps aren't going to know exactly what happened, front lines of any given company rarely do. Though, I'm willing to bet it relates to the old issue:

It is possible, Coresala, though it is important to remember that many issues show similar symptoms but have completely different causes. As the post you linked indicates many improvements have been made as they were able to find and resolve one of the major issues causing several issues but they continue to monitor the situation.

If I am able to pass along any information though I will not hesitate to do so.

.Would someone official please at least update what's going on? Haha. That'd be so nice.

As soon as I have more information, Traumer, I'll post it. Right now our Realm Technicians are looking into the cause.

As many know the realm went offline about an hour an a half ago, they were able to bring it back online but apparently have been unable to isolate why the realm went offline in the first place.

I'll return as soon as I can.

Alright folks, I promised an update as soon as I had one. Thus far it does appear that there may be an issue with some hardware. I believe they are working on replacing this part but I don't have any further details at the moment.

We hope to have another update "shortly" but I think that is tech speak for soonâ„¢. O.o I'll let you know as soon as I am able to get any kind of ETA.

We hope not but I truly won't have any idea until I can get more information, Calidonia. As soon as I do I'll pass it along.

but you know, we still want an explanation for down time over 4 months....

That isn't something that I could provide, Maligannt. Each case could be a different cause, it could be hardware or software related or a combination of the two.

The explanation for most unexpected downtime is, computers aren't perfect, they experience issues from time to time and they rarely tell you what is wrong with them. It is sometimes a painstaking process to hunt down the overall cause of an ongoing issue and implement a resolution.

Great, glad you cannot figure out the problem

I think you are confused, Maligannt, and haven't been paying attention to what I do here. I am a forum moderator for the CS forum. When possible I try to address posts regarding in-game issues.

I am not a Realm Technicians so it isn't that I can't figure out what the issue may be it is, it isn't my job to figure it out.
Q u o t e:

it seems to be you need to eat the cost and buy us new hardware, or am I totally off base to think you give a ..... about the customer experience?

No, we care a great deal about the customer experience, Maligannt, what you are totally off base on is assuming that we don't want to buy new hardware or spend money to resolve an issue. If that was the cause of the issue, that all or some of the hardware needed replacing, we would do it. That isn't necessarily the case and blindly throwing money at something doesn't work.

Thank you for all the updates Vrak!

My pleasure, Graciously. Don't take this the wrong way because I sincerely have enjoyed the company of many from Thrall this evening, but I hope not to see you guys again unless you are simply visiting or have a different in-game issue that you would like to inquire about. :)
