I won the battered hilt last night and started the quest line. I was at Sunwell Plateau before I ran into problems with it. I went in with the item I needed to use. The restoration process took place, I saw a 'cleansed' sword but was unable to right click on it to bring it back to Dalaran to complete that part of the quest line. I went back to Dalaran through the portal but didn't have the required item to turn in the quest so I went back to Sunwell Plateau to talk to the guy again and see if it would allow me to pick up the item needed... nopers!
I have an in game ticket open and am waiting for a response to it. Is it possible (or likely) the GM will restore the item so I can complete the quest or did I waste 4 hours running around for nothing? Has anyone else had trouble like this?
