Love Fools: 10 Day Duration.

LIE.

Yes, I read the appropriate thread...after I found they were gone. Many players don't read the forums. I myself usually don't unless I have a tech support issue. So like many players, I had no way of knowing -at all- that Blizzard LIED TO ME.

I have a character, this one to be exact, that I wanted so badly to have the Love Fool title. There are not words for how much I wanted it. It's the only title for this character that matters to me.

So, I took this character, who was approximately level 10 at the time the Love is in the Air event began, and pushed. As hard as I could. Through miserable pugs full of idiots, through mindless quest grinding through the old world, through outland, doing every achievement I could along the way. I haven't worked this hard at something since I left college.

And I am thanked for my effort and devotion to the game by coming home after a miserable day at my job to find that the 7 days I thought I had left to hit 80 and complete the 'I Pitied the Fool' achievement were GONE. And that I had effectively wasted two weeks of my life.

Blizzard PROMISED us a 10 day duration on these items. All I want is what I paid for. I want my love fools back so I can finish what I started.

I can completely understand why this might have been disappointing or frustrating for you. We did what we could to spread information regarding how these items would behave, and you have my sympathies regarding the time invested to acquire these items due to having missed that information.

I feel that must clarify something though, something very important: nothing within World of Warcraft itself is 'promised' in any fashion. Gameplay, items, quests, terrain, etc. are all subject to change at any time, and there are extremely good reasons why this is.

I certainly do appreciate your effort and dedication to World of Warcraft, just as I appreciate all players who share it with us. We aren't in a position to extend the deadline for which these items are active though nor to provide credit for achievements that would have occurred, and I hope that this does not prove to be a real obstacle to your future enjoyment of the delights you've found within Azeroth.
