"Random" Heroics

I haven't been keeping up on this, but are these going to become..actually..random? Like a hotfix or sumfin'.

As much as I love the extra Triumph badges, getting tired of everyday the first two heroics being..

HALLS OF LIGHTNING
NEXUS

NEXUS


That or CoS and VH cease to exist.

I'll add an observation that Blizzard should have picked a better name than "random" for the matchmaking option. For years people with a fail grasp of computers and statistics have been insisting that "loot isn't random" when in fact it is. Now Blizz has implemented a system where the choice of instance is deliberately and publicly not random, merely "unpredictable enough", but they've still called it "random".

You're right in that it isn't truly random as has been linked by ye. The reasons (to sum up) being that it can't be both completely random and also take into account many different factors to help create the best play experience - while also trying to get you into a dungeon quickly.

As for name options, I proposed "Takes into account many factors to ensure the best play experience balanced against an attempt to find you a dungeon as quickly as possible" but it didn't fit in the drop down.

It's "random" because you really never know what you're gonna get (Box of Heroics). But as has been said there are still little cogs, and fairies, and worker mice, and killer bees back behind the scenes pulling the strings and nudging the d20 ever so slightly to try to improve upon what a truly random system would be.
