About the Recent Hackings..

So yeah, I've seen alot of people getting hacked recently. Seems like everyone is getting their share sooner or later about all this non-sense... Logging in, to see 10 gold sellers, spamming their stuff in trade chat, without a single "LFM, LFG, LF2's", etc etc... It's annoying.

To the "Blue Texters" (Blizz Employees'), just a quick question. Is there any way, you're going to put more information out there, about the hack-attacks, or any of that Jazz? Maybe put a message in yellow, for when players log in the game? Or start a decent topic about it, regarding more than just, "Get an Authenticator?"

Authenticators may not be the solution 100% of the time, or so I would think... to those out there who are moderately poor. I've been hacked, 3 times already. First time, Blizz' Employees' weren't so nice to me. Banned my first account before BC (Burning Crusade) came out. So I had to start a brand new account. 2nd, and 3rd times, Blizzard has been generous by doing their best. They gave me guild tabs, after the hacker disbanded it, put my toons back on their original servers.. etc etc. So, waking up in the fear of seeing all these spam/phished emails, isn't too enlightening... 'Specially with all the hard work I've put into my account. There HAS to be something else Blizzard can do, besides having the Authenticator out there...

Just small ideas to think about I guess. =)

We educate, but unless you'd like to answer a quiz prior to logging in each time on internet security.....

*wait - jots a note, maybe not a bad idea*

Truly, malware and social engineering is the chief culprit here. There is only so much that can be done to basically make people safe from their own habits and gulibility :)

We developed the authenticator as an extra line of defense and in all but the most minuscule percentage of cases - it's overwhelmingly successful and works very well.

What else would you like to see?
