Blizzard, please make your professions a bit safer to trade between players... I don't know why I have to trust a complete stranger with 10,000g worth of mats, ever. That doesn't make sense. Make a "professions" window or something where one person can post mats and payment and the other person can craft them into something for the trade.

That, my friend, is called a Scam.

Per the Blizzard Support Site:

Q u o t e:
Scamming Another Player

This category includes:
• Acquiring items or any other "possessions" from another player through misinformation, confusion, or fraud (Scamming)

If a player is found to have perpetrated a scam, he/she may:
• Be temporarily suspended from the game
• Have any money or item gains removed

IMPORTANT
Repeatedly violating any area of the Terms of Use (ToU), including the area detailed above, will often result in temporary suspension from the game

And, if you're curious, the link to the the above page for more info:

End of story: Contact a GM, they can *probably* get your mats back, and will likely punish the player in question (though they'll never tell you what actions they took).

I think this post sums up your best course of action nicely, and a situation like this can indeed be considered a scam. I do feel compelled to point out that no restoration is ever guaranteed, but our staff will happy to investigate and deal with the situation appropriately.

Upon cursory review, it also seems as though some personal conflicts might have occurred. You may want to confirm that this individual intended to 'make off' with your mats and that there wasn't some misunderstanding at work instead.

I asked him to wait while I bought the last few mats from AH, then he just left the group and peaced out after taking my stuff cause he felt waiting was inappropriate. It's not his judgment call and it's still scamming and stealing my mats.

While not quite that cut and dry, I reviewed the conversation and I understand your perspective - particularly since the item in question does not appear to have been sent within the provided time frame. I'm glad to hear that our staff will have the opportunity to review the situation, and while I don't have a time frame available (every situation is different, after all) I wish you luck on a swift and positive outcome.

Yeah, I think I just freaked out a bit cause I thought he was favoring the ninja'er. There was no "agreed" time, it was to be made on the spot, but because he waited 2 minutes while I bought 8 titansteel bars from AH, he decided to "mail the boots to me 3 hours later" to "punish" me and asked me not to report him because he promised he would send them. He never mailed them, he is a ninja.

Enots beat me to it, but his interpretation of my statement was correct.
