[Q:]Account ownership change via divorce

If ownership of a WoW account is granted in a divorce decree will it be honored by Blizzard?

No, I'm not trolling. Yes, I looked through the forums already but I didn't happen to see a definate answer. Yes, I read the TOU. I was wondering if this case would be one of those exceptions to the rules. I would like to take ownership of my husband's account. He doesn't play it, it's always been paid for out of my account, and it would save me a little bit of cash to not have to buy a key and upgrade twice for another account.

I believe the others have made some excellent points here, Kamuii. Technically speaking the account is owned by Blizzard. Our policies discuss who is permitted access to the account while under our ownership.

Truth be told though, Kamuii, if you have a legal question is would be better posed to our legal department as they may be able to give you a more definitive answer.
