Wind Rider Cub redemption problem

I ordered the cute little plush with the in-game redeem code... Got it in the mail today, got excited and ripped the box open to find the cute little plush.

Found the card and very gently scratched off the gray area, to reveal... A white box.

The box that is suppose to have the code printed in it is completely blank.
Has anybody else had this problem?
How do I get the code to get my in-game companion?

Interesting. Did you happen to be logged in when you tried to redeem this?

I'd try a reboot of your system first, see if that helps. You did purchase this from the US store and it's a US based account?

I am currently awaiting word on how we are going to proceed with this.

It's not a matter of if....just exactly when and how we can resolve this best for ya'll :)

Being a pet collector myself, I totally understand being anxious to see your ingame version just as soon as possible.
