ICC Buff / Not Done Balancing Til Cata Ships

I know, lots of these threads blah blah. I'm trying to make a slightly different point about this that would just get lost in any of the QQ threads.

Non-pet classes (and to be fair many players who do play pet classes) have been pretty vocal about saying "Who cares, it's a welfare buff." I would like to make the simple point that Ghostcrawler has said repeatedly that the Devs "Will not be done with balance until Cataclysm ships."

This seems to be at odds with putting all the pet classes (and even temporary pet classes) at a DPS disadvantage with a buff. Either the Devs are done with balance or they're not. If they're not done, this is a valid concern. If they are done, they should say so. Everyone cares where they are on the meters in comparison to the rest of their raid. Saying "it doesn't matter" when you play a class unaffected by the discrepancy dilutes the value of your opinion.

I'll also say that if pet classes got more from this buff than non pet classes, the rivers of tears would wash us all back into BC, so kindly get off your high horses.

Until GC says "working as intended, not changing it" you can all just stop flaming people with legitimate concerns about this. Or, as an option, you can ALL stop complaining about balance entirely. Those of you lobbying for changes to your own class while flaming people looking for changes to theirs are the most annoying kind of hyprocrites.
