I'm confused about Forum Rules - Seriously.

I'm a bit confused about the rules governing the WoW Forums. I've read the TOC given to me when making a post. I'm still a bit confused when it comes to discipline and intrepretations.

While I will not repeat the post or it's title I will elaborate as well as possible around the matter as to not break further rules.

I posted a message that is dealing with the up coming changes in the patch. The thread reached 10+ pages and it brought up nice debate about the given subject. It was clear that about 50% of the people hated my post and the other 50% were supportive. The thread was going very well and seemed to spark a good debate. People were taking a side and making their case.

I like to try and bring a sense of humor and flair to my topics. Many of the responses in the thread gave kudos to the post in that light. Eventually the post was deleted and I was given a temp. ban for trolling.

Now I've done a bit of research on the "trolling" topic. I've always been a person that if I've done something wrong I've taken responsibility for the action. I'm not one to pass it off and try to avoid what's coming to me. In this case I was not trolling, rather pointing out a few flaws in the way Blizz plans to implement a change. I stand by my conviction that I was not trolling.

Here is a quote from a Blue post today in a different thread:

"I'm sorry but I have certain expectations of a pug tank. If you guys can't absorb damage without requiring heals, or allow me and the rest of the group to auto-follow you while we watch TV, then I'm sorry but I just don't have that kind of time to waste. "

Obviously you can deduce the scarcasm and have a nice giggle. Yet when somone not blue makes similar comments they are trolling?

Thanks for the few minutes of your time.

We use our judgment, and if we determine that the purpose of a particular post or series of post was created for no other purpose than to create unrest than we take action.

As far as the comment you quoted, I definitely wouldn't have banned me for making it.

CAN you ban you? I'm just wondering. So much power in one little whelpling's... hands... or wings...

No I can't ban myself. I can ban other blue posters, however. :D
