For the past couple of days I've been experiencing server lag while doing daily quests in Icecrown. At first I though tit would go away but it's being persistent. My latency is usually in the green, right now I'm at 251ms with a 61 fps in Dalaran yet if i go questing in Icecrown I start to suffer from loot lag, combat lag and even the jousting error messages such as "Target is too close" or Target needs to be in front of you" when on my screen they're running away to prepare for a charge.

That sounds like you could be having issues with a conflict, perhaps an addon or corrupted file.

If you haven't tried already, I'd suggest a full reset UI. That may not resolve this, but it is the first trouble-shooting step just to get everything at a baseline.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

More detailed instructions for different operating systems, including Macs are here.

See if that makes a difference before you add any of your addons back in.

This may not help - but it's always a good first step...just in case.

Misbehaving addons can do some of the oddest things. If that can be ruled out, then other things can be looked at.
