Hello there,

My account was hacked early this morning and i've been trying over the phone to get in contact with Blizzard but i'm wondering if i'm doing something wrong. I never bought an Authenticator but now I regret it, and whoever hacked my account has applied an Authenticator to it making it impossible for me to log in (thankfully I could log in here somehow) it's Tredd of Auchindoun. I'm just looking for some guidance and wondering if the number i've been calling is the right one.

P.S. If an account is lockable from here, according to my friends online the guy is using one of my alts to farm stuff.

Thank you

The following response was written by one of our new teammates. Because they are still in training and do not yet possess a forum account of their own, they shall be posting via proxy through me.

Tamilyn linked most of the information you’ll need to recover the account Tredd. Just be sure to scan and clean your computer of any potential keyloggers or malware. You’ll want to be sure that whatever path these malicious parties obtained your information is not longer accessible, and the Computer Security Recommendations thread contains great information on how to do that.

Contact Billing after you’ve secured your computer and they will be happy to help you regain access =).

Uh...Blizzard take responsibility, everyone is getting hacked left and right the last few days...don't sit here and say clean your computers, not everyone will visit the same sites, this is something your end, how secure is battlenet?

Extremely, it's never once yet been on our side. Clean your systems, don't answer phishes, don't share accounts, don't deal with illicit dealers of goods and services, get an authenticator and that will cover a good 99% of risk at least.
