Do tanks need resilience?

It occurred to me that the healer's job is made much more difficult by critical hits since they are unpredictable. Does it make sense for the tank to load up on resilience in order to reduce the chance of crits? Or should I buff defense rating instead, since a high enough defense essentially makes you immune to crits (and has other benefits as well)? Thanks.

You really want to focus on defense to become uncrittable, however, resilience is currently able to help you achieve the goal of being uncrittable. I would not recommend that anyone seek resilience gear for this purpose -- but if you're near cap and happen to have an item with resilience that will get you to where you need to be, then you might want to equip it until you get a more appropriate "PvE" upgrade.

I didn't notice that you were a druid tank, until I refreshed and saw the comment above mine. Things work a bit differently for druid tanks, and I do recommend that you check out some of the information available in the druid, or tanking forums.
