Guild Rejects Females?

Ok, so I'm chatting to this guy on my server. He mentions that his guild (to which he knows i'm not applying but it's one of the top on server) automatically refuses female applicants because of something to do with a marriage break up a few years back.

As a female gamer, I like to think that my gender has nothing to do with my ability to raid ICC.

So, question: Is this sort of policy by a guild within the terms of service?

Guilds may elect to invite or reject applicants according to their own criteria, Nóna. If any member of this guild—or any guild—harasses you about the rejection, though, please let us know by submitting an in-game petition or emailing [email protected].

Just for the sake clarity: While perhaps frustrating, denying entrance to a guild is not considered a form of harassment. Profanity, defamatory remarks regarding your person, bypassing the in-game ignore system—these are all forms of harassment that may be reported to us for investigation.
