[email protected] is fake right?

i got an email from [email protected] saying im gonna get banned or something and saying that i have to verify my account at some website like [Bad link removed] or something like that i clicked it before reading the email thoroughly cause i have been getting a lot of those customer satisfaction emails, and it was a loggin page i didnt submit anything though but i just wanna make sure this is fake and im not getting banned
and if it is fake how did they get the @blizzard.com name i have it so my thing throws all things from people i don't know into junk folder

An @Blizzard.com return address is the appropriate address, Oobi, but most of these phishing e-mails spoof the return address in order to look legitimate.

Luckily you did not submit any account information, I'd recommend checking you system for possible keyloggers. Odds are you didn't pick up anything but you can never be too careful.

Just based on that link and that the e-mail claimed that you "will be suspended or have your account closed" I can say with certainty that it was fake. We do not threaten with a suspension or closure, if we believe your account violated our Terms of Use we take action based on the violation and it is up to you to contact us.

The email itself is one of ours, Lin - that's why it doesn't seem odd from a construction standpoint.

What they do is edit 'good links' to redirect to bad and/or fake sites.

ALWAYS double check an email from us is REALLY from us by popping open the internal routing header and looking at the true sender.
