American Express Prepaid Gift Cards

Hey, i recently got a 25 us prepaid gift card from american express, how do i use it to transfer my alt character from one realm to another , do i click on credit card or credit card redemption code, i tried credit card redemption code but it dosent seem to work, i check american express website and it says the card has exactly 25 us on it.
what do i do and what are the steps =), would be great to hear from you, cheers.

While pre-paid gift cards are not necessarily a supported method of payment, they are normally accepted if the proper requirements are met.

As a few players have mentioned, there will often be a temporary $1 charge placed on the card in addition to the full charge for the transfer; therefore, you may encounter an issue if you have exactly $25 available on the card.

Additionally, if there is any way to register that card via a phone number or website I suggest you do that prior to attempting the transaction.
