Why did the Alliance Kill Arthas?

Yet they won't attempt to reclaim Lordaeron?

Tirisfal Glades
Silverpine forest
Eastern / Western Plaguelands
The city of Lordaeron

All Alliance territories.

What's the point of killing Arthas if these territories aren't going to be reclaimed?

On that note. Why did we kill Illidan? He wasn't bothering us at all.. He was minding his own business in Outland. And the only reason the Alliance ever went to Outland in the first place was to finish off the Orcs.

I think we need to get our priorities back in order.

Who said that the Alliance wouldn't attempt to reclaim these lands? That is a very dangerous assumption to make, especially if you're of the forsaken persuasion.

The Lich King is a threat to all the inhabitants of Azeroth and, as such, he needs to be put down before territorial disputes can be resolved. Leaving those claims for the future only makes sense; far easier to fight one war at a time. For now, it's better to focus on the task at hand.

Well this is a momentous occasion!

A Blue weighed in on one of our lore debates!

So Crygil, where do you side, the boys in blue or the savages wearing red?

As a construct of demons, my opinions are neutral in standing. Alliance have Dwarves, and the Horde has Tauren. Thus, I cannot choose sides.

Awesome!

So, do you guys watch these threads with a perverse glee as we dance to your tune? Do you know us all by name and our characters? Do you have a pool going on for when we finally go insane?

Yes, but you don't dance to our tune. You all seem to have your own drums playing. No, we know you by scent mostly. Nethaera already won that pool.

It will be interesting to see what they will do now that the Lich King is gone, that vengeance is achieved. I know some believe that the entire race of Forsaken is genocidal, but in reality only some are, some just wanted vengeance on the person that put them in that position.

Crygil, by the way, does Metzen ever read these lore-discussion threads? I've always been curious if he did, and be kind of cool if so. =P

I'm sure that the Don of Awesome (more commonly known as Chris Metzen) is always interested in hearing players' perspectives on the lore aspects of the game. As to whether or not he is reading this particular thread at this very moment, I cannot postulate.
