NPC's are broke - No Talk NO DIE

lol this is too funny, its like blizz is teasing the addicts, server up you log in and wait, then you hit a loading screen tht takes 20 mins to get in, then you get in and guess what.. you cant talk to NPC's

Blue post saying they are coming here to deal with nps problems, Blue asks for us to point out the npcs we find not working

GrandMaster ? JC trainer and daily quest giver is not working. Nor is the Weekly Raid quest giver.

Thank you Loosegoose. For quest NPC's you do still see the exclamation mark over their heads, correct?

Ok, I see the issue. I was able to pop onto Alleria and test it myself. From what I can gather this seems to be a database issue and our Technicians are working on the issue.

Ok the realms I have that are experiencing this particular issue are as follows.

Alleria
Blackhand
Cho'Gall
Illidan
Whisperwind

Any others?

Hmm, looks like Kilrogg is fine.

From what I've been able to verify this seems to be affecting a few realms and only NPC's that have gossip text.

I checked other realms in the Battlegroup and it seems that the same NPC's are working there.

Hotfix?

They are attempting to resolve the issue though I wouldn't call it a hotfix. Hotfixes are usually changes to the program implemented by Development. As far as I am aware this seems to stem from a database issue and they are working on making some adjustments to resolve it.

Aw, you beat me to it.

Folks, if you are experiencing an issue with being unable to speak with an NPC please try deleting your Cache folder. That seems to be working to resolve the issue.

You'll need to log completely out of the client, go to your Worldofwarcraft directory and then delete or rename your Cache folder.

When you reboot the game a new Cache folder will be created and it should allow you to pick up your quest, train, etc. . . .
