Reason for Lovely Charm Nerf?

Anyone know what exactly Blizz is trying to avoid with the Charm nerf?

AH sales? They were down to 9g on my server - with the nerf they are back up to 30g and rising.
So - Blizz WANTS you to spend big bucks on them, and wants some players to profit big?

I was mass farming for my alts. If Blizz doesn't want them sold in mass quantities, why not make them account bound? That way, I am not punished because I happen to have lots of alts. I have 2 accounts, which means, I would have to farm them on both accounts - np.

The nerf is silly. I did a grind session for a couple of hours as well as ran a Heroic last night. I ended up with 2 full bracelets for my 3 hours of play. 3 hours 2 bracelets and I still havn't travelled all over the freaking world to turn them in! Just how much time does Blizz expect that you sink into this holiday?

Maybe if I understood WHY the nerf, I could appreciate it. So far, it seems Blizz is being mostly mum on the issue, and it appears they really have no good reason. Maybe someone at Blizz just got jilted - right before Valentines and they are taking it out on all of us?

If you are wanting to farm a lot of them for all of your alts, that's your call, but it shouldn't be trivial to get a ton of them and something you finish in 1-2 days if that's the case. The event is pretty long now, so there is time to farm them and now, yes, you may actually have to put some effort into it - that's all.

I want to point out that the information that was posted back when the event started was indeed accurate. We had no current plans to do anything at that time, but that didn't mean we weren't discussing it at all. We can't make promises or hints on things like this because then everybody expects changes to come. Originally we weren't sure how we would do it or if we could, but we figured some things out eventually and felt they would make things better.

None of the healers I know had any problems getting them before the changes happened, but now they can get them when just running dungeons instead of focusing on them, so things are a little more balanced now.

We generally ignore statements like this as they tend to be troll posts or people just not paying attention to what is actually happening, but I figured "oh why not" and typed this out anyway.
