Going forward, if a player has mistakenly downgraded Emblems (for example, downgrading from Frost to Triumph), our In-Game Support team may honor a refund/reversal, if a request for reimbursement is submitted within 72 hours of the conversion and the converted emblems have not been spent.

    ======================================================

In an effort to simplify item reimbursements, the World of Warcraft allows players to receive a full refund for items purchased with alternate currencies if returned to a vendor within a limited time. This feature was originally announced here: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=16364516310&sid=1

Recently, we’ve received a growing number of petitions, posts, and emails requesting additional assistance with alternate currency reimbursements. We’d like to remind all players that our In-Game Support team generally will not intervene in cases where a purchasing player chose not to use the in-game refund feature. Providing refunds in those cases can facilitate exploitation and undermine the intent of the purchase system.

To ensure that your in-game purchasing experience is as pleasant as possible, we strongly encourage you to select your items carefully, with the following points in mind:

  • An item purchased with alternate currency can be sold back to any in-game vendor for up to 2 hours of in-game time.
  • To sell back an item purchased with alternate currency, simply right-click the item while the vendor window is open.
  • If an item purchased with alternate currency is enchanted, socketed, gemmed, or mailed, the option to reimburse the item will be forfeited.
  • Items purchased with World Event currency (Brewfest Tokens, Coins of Ancestry) are not eligible for an Alternate Currency reimbursement.
  • Items that grant achievements on purchase are not eligible for an Alternate Currency reimbursement.
  • Stackable items (Frozen Orbs, uncut gems, etc) are not eligible for an Alternate Currency reimbursement.

We have also made an effort to include a confirmation window for most purchases made with alternate currencies. Please use this window to ensure that the item and its price are correct before completing any purchase.
