The reason I have not tanked 5 since LFD tool

The reason I no longer tank 5 mans since LFD tool came out is because I do not need to tank if I want to get a group within a half hour now, I would rather wait 5 to 10 minutes and dps instead, one of the main reasons I still tanked 5 mans was because it was necessary in order to get a group quickly or to get a half way descent tank at all. I have for the most part only tanked 5 mans while the tank was afk or disconnected since the LFD tool came out, I used to be a PUG tank thru and thru when it came to 5 mans.

I don't think I am alone here.

This is interesting because I changed one of my dps characters to a healer so he could get through the queue faster. I would tank on him but I just don't have the gear for it yet. So it's pretty much the opposite of you and I am going the healing/tanking to get through the queue faster.

I don't think I am alone here.

well you arent very patient then are you? I don't mind to wait 5 minutes personally

Do you play multiple characters? One of my toons is a dps-only class so I know I will have to wait the 5-10 minutes on him. So yes, I prefer to speed things up on the other characters so I can get to doing other things. Time is money friend! (Did I really just say that? *sigh*)

Yes I do, I have 3 level 80s and 7 characters in the 70's...on the 70's I que as healer or tank if they are capable because the dps que is pretty long (15-20mins) - I only play 1 or 2 of them each day tops though so I am not in a rush.

(it is the level 80 que for me that is usually 5 to 10 minutes)

I usually go through all 3 toons everyday along with trying to hit weekly raids, VoA runs, and my usual raids. So I can be a bit pressed for time and speeding things up helps a lot. This is something I bring on myself and I know I will slow down eventually, but for the time being - faster is better.

So you're what's wrong with the game. I queue as DPS on my Shadow Priest and I find something to do while I wait. I'm not impatient, nor do I overburden my time with multiple toons that I treat like mains. My alt is a Prot Warrior and I leveled him because I wanted to see what tanking was like, not because I wanted easy Badges and to supplant my main. Seeing the fickleness of the population represented among the CMs is not entirely surprising, but it is disappointing. Doesn't Blizzard have a warning up about everything in moderation?

I'm not really sure what "fickelness" you are talking about as I was just providing some information on how I play and showing examples of how one opinion/version is easily countered by someone else's experiences. You do have an interesting though short-on-details opinion on what is "wrong" with the game and the direction it should take. I definitely only have one main character and the others are treated like alts (in my opinion).

How much play qualifies as "moderation" to you? I definitely used to put more hours into the game even when playing one character to get so many things done and now I feel like I'm playing pretty relaxed and have plans to change things up some more in the future.
