Stance on "selling" instant queue spots

I've been seeing tanks advertising in chat that for a fee they will join with you so you get in the random dungeon really fast and then they will leave. This puts the player at the top of the list for the next tank. Is this ok with Blizzard? I'm not going to argue one way or the other. I was just wondering if this is actionable or not.

Thanks

While not a supported transaction, selling one's tanking services for in-game gold is not inherently in violation of our policies. In other words, we may be unable to assist in cases where the agreed upon services are not carried out, so we discourage players from participating in such transactions.

Please let me know if you require any further clarification. :)

Please be aware that if a tank queues with a party and then leaves the group, the group is placed back in queue based upon the original queue time. Accordingly, their location in the queue is unaffected unless the tank actually participates in the instance.

By all means, if you feel that the system or our policies regarding the system should be changed, please let us know by posting on the Suggestions Forum. We truly desire to hear our players' feedback regarding all issues -- especially newly implemented ones such as this!

Awesome thanks Aredek :) I was curious about that. I would be so sad if someone could jump the queue using sneaky methods.

Not that I'm aware of! This was something our Development Team considered when designing the system. If you ever notice it behaving any differently, please do let us know. :)

Hm. Good question. I know that groups which have been in the queue for a longer period of time will be matched with tanks before a newer group currently in the instance seeking a tank; however, I'm not entirely certain in regards to this particular case. I'll inquire further, and let you all know if I ascertain any additional information.
