Tired of the harassment of another player

After this umpteenth time of being blown off, I've gotten fed up with this. I've tried to get an actual response from a GM many times now, but I keep getting macros.

A long backstory first.

A few months ago, a new guild has just formed on our server, and asked my guild if we'd like to raid with them in Uld. We said sure, and formed up a raid that was mostly our guild. We even let them use our vent server for the raid since they didn't have one. It was a bad decision though, because since it was formed up by them...they were the loot masters. And of course, guess what happened.

Yes, anything that wasn't BOP, they took. We complained, and were cursed at by one of their guildies. Being that we had younger people in the server, we warned him to watch his language. He quieted down, for the time being. Later on, a joke I made to a friend of mine was taken WAY out of context. Like, beyond belief out of context. He started calling me some very disparaging terms, a very easy female, and whatnot. It was disgusting. I told him that if he continued, I would kick him from the Vent server, as he had been warned before.

All was quiet for maybe one minute, and suddenly he keyed up his mike and called me one of the worst things you can call a woman. Instantly I kicked him, and his guild FREAKED. After calming things down, we told them that if he apologized and behaved himself, we would allow him back into the vent. We let him back in, and immediately he started back up with the cursing. We kicked him, and at that point, the entire guild left the raid, disgusted by their behavior.

We kicked them all out of our Vent, and decided to go raid somewhere else. An hour or so later, we were "vent bombed". (This is the practice of logging into someone's vent, and screaming as loud as you can in order to hurt people's ears. Then, they log out as fast as they can.) Turns out, it was the guildie we had kicked earlier for his remarks.

He did it again. And again. Eventually we banned his IP, and then the problem escalated from there.

For some reason, he chose me. Not sure why...but immediately after that, he started spamming Trade channels with horrific things. "PST her for cybers!" "PST her, she'll sleep with anyone!" Things of that sort. I ended up having to log onto an alt to escape the barrage.

I tried asking him to stop, and of course, he just laughed and cursed at me again. I set his character on ignore, and reported him, as did many of my guildies. He made an alt, and spammed me again with horrific sexual comments. Rinse, repeat. After the third ignore, he got his GUILDMATES to spam me!

Eventually a Blizz GM finally got involved, and pretty much told all of them that if they ever contacted me again, bans would be handed out, and the guild dissolved. I thought that was the end of that.

Unfortunately, I thought wrong. Last week, I was chatting with some people in Trade, commenting on the new patchnotes, when someone spouted a sexual slur at me. I jokingly said "Wow, that sounds like something <player> would say."

"Good guess, *****. I AM him."

He'd namechanged. So he could spam me again. I reported him immediately, as did many people in Trade. My guildmates informed me that he was up to his old tricks, spamming sexual slurs, telling people to whisper me for sexual favors, and whatnot. Anyone who tried to tell him to stop, or tried to stand up for me, he publically stated "had to have been sleeping with her".

End the story.

Now as I mentioned, last time I was told that if he made another attempt to circumvent the ignore function, he would be dealt with severely. Nothing has been done to him!

Every petition I have sent gets a macro, to put him on the ignore list, and if he tries to circumvent it, he will be punished. Well thats the thing, HE IS CURRENTLY CIRCUMVENTING IT. I've requested to speak with a Senior GM, but he as well gave me a canned response.

Please, for the love of the game, stop him. I have tried and tried to avoid the situation, but to nothing. He has made it clear he won't stop until I leave the server...or possibly even the game. I don't want to do that. I refuse to let him win, as I should not have to.

I beg of you Blizzard, help me.

It looks as if a member of the Game Master staff is already looking into this on your behalf, Nareli. Should you have any questions after you've finished speaking with the Game Master, please let me know.

Also, in reviewing your petition history, I'd like to offer a bit of advice. Every time you submit a petition on this issue, I encourage you to include the name of the harassing player and some mention of the fact that this is an ongoing issue. It looks as if this information has been left off from time to time, and may have greatly helped us previously.

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention!
