Latency Related Issues - Feb. 7

Greetings, all--

After speaking with the appropriate parties regarding the ongoing latency issues affecting multiple realms, they have notified me that they are well aware of the issue and are currently working to resolve all related issues as quickly as possible. While we do not have any additional details regarding when these issues will be resolved, we will continue to monitor this situation and provide you with updates as they become available. The following update was just made within our Service Status Forum:

At this time, the latency has subsided after being addressed by our realm technicians. We will continue to monitor this situation closely, and appreciate your help bringing this to our attention through the Report Latency feature in-game.

Please let us know if you experience any current bouts of latency so that we can notify the appropriate parties. Additionally, we are currently looking into the recent spikes in latency surrounding the various realms mentioned within this thread not included in the main post (e.g. Windrunner, Silvermoon, Bronzebeard, etc) to determine if the issues are related or an altogether different issue.

I was just provided with a quick update regarding the various latency reports surrounding the realms not listed in the first post. We believe we have identified the source (an issue unrelated to the one affecting the original realm), and it appears that this should have already started subsiding.

We are aware of the ongoing nature of this issue and are continuing the make adjustments to try to resolve this issue. As previously noted, we will to monitor the issue and take every step necessary to remedy it.

We're currently looking into a few issues unrelated to that which was originally posted, folks. We'll continue to monitor this and let you all know of any additional information that comes our way.
