No Warning on Maintenance!

Today as we were preparing to do the new weekly raid, all of a sudden we got the message that our realm was going to be shut down. After searching the forums, I found an announcement about weekly maintenance buried between a few posts. There was absolutely zero in-game warning. Normally theres at least some little message on the entry screen about this, but today, there was none. We had gotten all excited about being able to keep playing too. We arent asking for zero downtime, we understand and accept that there has to be. But come on blizzard! All we want is some real warning, not just sudden shutdowns like this.

Unfortunately, we experienced some technical difficulty with the Breaking News page (http://launcher.worldofwarcraft.com/alert) last evening. As a result, a bulletin regarding scheduled realm maintenance was not immediately available at the login screen. For any inconvenience this posed, I do sincerely apologize.

Information was, however, posted within the Service Status Forum:

Q u o t e:
We will be performing our scheduled weekly maintenance for all US and Oceanic Realms beginning at 05:00 AM PST and 11:00 AM PST. No realms will be available for play between approximately the hours of 05:00 AM PST and 11:00 AM PST.

Thank you for your patience.
