Why not, you have a Brewfest Ram, may as well go the distance and let us earn the Broomstick flying mount.

You can get a Broomstick mount... when Hallow's End begins.

But its one time use, and only lasts 7 days.

FIRST first.

The "one time use" is a tooltip error, you will be able to use it as much as you want, but it does expire after 14 days.

I noticed there was an epic one and a non-epic, I would assume that we'll have to have the proper riding skill to use the epic one?

Yes, there is a broomstick mount for each level of the 4 tiers of riding skill.

So here's a question - do the lower level brooms hug the ground or can they actually fly in the air?

Broomstick mounts that are for 75 and 150 riding skill can’t fly and act as their respective ground mounts, I had fun jumping up and down on mine though on the PTR!

So as of now the brooms aren't permanent, but hey neither were the brewfest goggles. We just have to complain enough to make them change it =)

The Brewfest goggles and the Hallow's End Broomstick Mount are slightly different items. The magic of Hallow's End doesn't last year round. :)

Q u o t e:
then how come i keep seeing people on broomsticks now?

Probably because everybody is using their brooms before they are gone in 2 weeks or less.

One of the patch notes from today:
The various Hallow’s End broom mounts now have their proper real-time (rather than game-time) duration of 14 days.
