Suspended for 72 hours: Why?

Okay, so I found out I was suspended for 72 hours for

Reason for Action: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

What exactly does that mean? Can I get someone to tell me what EXACTLY I did wrong? I've never traded in-game money for real money and I've never attempted to abuse the economy. All I ever did, was the stuff everyone does: farm things and sell for in-game money using the Auction House.

I've never used Auctioneer, never did any kind of that stuff.... so what's wrong?

Can someone tell me what exactly I did wrong, so I don't do it again?

Q u o t e:

Even if I did call them, or use [email protected] they STILL won't give me the specific reason?

And I'd love to call them, but unfortunately tomorrow is bad for me... they are 8AM-8PM PST, I'm in EST... I work at 11AM. meh.

It is unlikely that we'd be able to give specifics but it can be looked into if an error was made and if there was an error (we are human after all) hopefully they can look into preventing such an error occurring again.

You'll want to contact Account Administration, our Billing department would be unable to discuss the matter.

Q u o t e:
I thought Rentlokrozia's post was one of the more helpful here. Provided true information that hadn't been brought up yet.

True information? Contradictory information doesn't necessarily make it true.

Q u o t e:
The mistake you made was asking here.

Many people may simply not understand what the violation is and can usually gain insight from other posters.
Q u o t e:

People here tend to not actually read the posts and give you bad advice.

Some may fixate on a particular point or provide information that is most of a guess but overall, if those of us who moderate this forum see something that is blatantly incorrect we'll usually say something.
Q u o t e:

There is a lot of misinformation in this thread. For example, in one of the first replies they told you that you were hacked or you bought gold.

Generally speaking those two reasons are the most common. Either the account was compromised and the violation took place then or they a service such as gold buying/sell, powerleveling, etc... was used.
Q u o t e:

The first one isn't accurate because you stated you have an Authenticator

Which was stated after the original statement of "your were hacked or bought gold" was made.
Q u o t e:

You've also been told that you've definitely done something wrong, but that's not always true.

No, most of the posts are actually asking questions of the OP trying to help them figure out what may have been the cause. They were especially trying to see if the account may have been compromised.
Q u o t e:

You could in fact be an innocent bystander, but if that was the case you'd have just lost gold or items, not been suspended. It's entirely possible that Blizzard made a mistake.

It does happen from time to time.

Q u o t e:
You've been told they will never tell you what you did wrong, and this isn't necessarily true, they just won't tell you what you did wrong on this forum. When you actually speak to someone they'll give you an idea, if not tell you exactly. (Incoming flames towards me for disagreeing with the herd.)

Unlikely, we do not generally provide specifics. If you actually speak to someone you are either calling Billing or Tech Support, neither will be able to provide you with anything other then how to contact Account Administration.

In either case this back and forth is getting to be a bit much so I'll be locking the thread.

Good luck, Hirai. :)
