Help, I can't turn off advanced quest tracking for the simple reason that there is there is no checkbox by that name. In interface->objectives I have only these options:

Instant Quest Text
Automatic Quest Tracking
Automatic Quest Progress Updates
Quest Difficulty Color (!)
Movable World Map (!)

(Above, where I put (!), I have gold exclamation points. No idea what that means. There is also one by the Objectives choice on the left menu.)

Any ideas? I already completely wiped out my cache, WTF, and interface folders (not that I'm using all that many addons anyway)

Thanks! All I want to do is move this window somewhere else.

Q u o t e:
you may get better responses on the tech support forums since its an issue with the program itself.

a UI reset may fix it I think.. seems to help with a lot of display related issues.

I'd recommend a reset as well - a full one.

Sounds like an addon somewhere may be conflicting or changing something unintentionally.

To do a full reset UI, you will want to save your addons in another spot if you wish to preserve them.

Then rename/delete or move your WTF, Cache and Interface folders while WoW is shutdown. Reboot your system.

Note, if you are running Vista make sure your permissions are set so it does not undo your changes.

More detailed instructions for different operating systems, including Macs are here.
