Item Disappeared after Leaving Instance

I was in a Pit of Saron earlier today and the Ick's Thumb dropped. Everyone rolled need on it.. the DK won it and decided to trade it to me since i was the tank.

So I equipped it and finished the instance with it, and when I left the instance, the trinket disappeared! I opened a ticket, but as usual it will be about a week long wait, so I thought I could look here for a way to solve my problem. Anyone know what I can do? Thanks in advance!

Kenadin, it looks like you still have the item equipped in your trinket slot.

Darshu, I can see the Legplates in your inventory. If you are unable to see the items try logging out of the game and back in.

You may want to try resetting your User Interface to see if that helps.

1) *IMPORTANT* Exit the World of Warcraft to your desktop by logging out of the game and exiting. If World of Warcraft isn't closed, then these steps won't have the desired effect.
2) If you used an "installer" for a custom UI, see if it has an "uninstaller" and use it.
3) Inside the World of Warcraft Program Folder, delete the "WTF," "Cache," and "Interface" folders.
4) Restart your computer.
5) Please do not reinstall Addons prior to testing the issue you were experiencing.
6) Make sure that you are using WOW.EXE or LAUNCHER.EXE to start the game. Please do not run any UI installers beforehand, as we want to eliminate them as part of the issue.
7) Upon launching the game, you should see the Intro cinematic movie and be prompted to agree to the Terms of Use. Once you authenticate past the login screen, the “AddOns” button should no longer be visible at the lower left corner of the character selection screen. Both points mentioned previously must hold true if you should complete the aforementioned steps correctly.

Let me know if any of those steps help.

Spoke with some people on my relm and looks like this has been going on for a while. People have opened tickets but GM's dont give you the item, just say to bad. They said they now check and sometimes have to trade twice.

No, Darshu, we wouldn't give you an item that we can clearly see is still in your inventory, you already have it.

We would hope that you would review the post we made that was directed to you. It would be our goal to correct the issue an help you see the item that is in your inventory.

It has also happened to me. I was also in the Pit of Saron. I followed the instructions on this thread to the letter and the item is still gone. the Item was [Garfrost's Two Ton Hammer] As soon as i recieved the item i spent the rest of the dungeon using the item. As soon as the last boss died we all ported out of the dungeon and my weapon was gone.

I see this equipped on your character, Izalco. We have a brief maintenance this morning, I suspect you'll see it back then - latest. If you still cannot see the item after, please do let us know. Take heart, it may be invisible to you at the moment - it's not gone :)

Alright I just had the same thing happen to me.

Lost a belt out of regular forge of souls..

I tried deleting all of my cache, wtf and interface, reloading my ui, restarting my pc, everything.

No luck, belt is still "invisible".

I have a ticket up but if a GM is just going to tell me it's there what am I to do? o_O

Do I honestly have to wait for a server restart to get my gear? That's a week from now :(

Well, the good news is I can see the item you list in your petition in your inventory....so it's there.

Just a matter of getting it to show up for you.

I'd just give this a bit of time. While I'd have thought restarting should have helped, this may just take a little while to update. Do leave your petition open should this not show up.

You might want to try zoning as well, see if that could jog an update of your inventory.

Titanium Links of Lore is what I see.

We can certainly address this if it doesn't show - but it should. The why at the moment is the question.

Alright so what is the timeline here of how long I should wait before begging a GM to intervene? =P

I really don't have a good answer for that, Kazaii.

You have a petition in - I'd leave that be. You can definitely close it if the item shows before the petition is answered, but since you already have one in queue, I'd let that ride.
