Hello.

Just purchased 2 authinticators one for me one for the wife's account.

My question is: Are they Safe? I have seen quite a few threads about people getting hacked, trojaned, open back doors after installing the autinticator.

Do I have any thing to worry about? I purchased mine on friday from blizzard store.

Thank you for your time and help in this situation.

Q u o t e:
There is nothing wrong with the authenticator. What is happening is that people without the authenticator are getting hacked and the hacker is putting their own authenticator on the account.

It is not a problem with the authenticator itself.

This is correct. I believe you may be mistaking players being compromised and having an Authenticator added to the account for actual security issues surrounding the Authenticator. Adding the Authenticator to your account will provide you with an extra layer of security and will prevent many of the common compromises; this security device will not make you vulnerable to a security issue.
