Anyone else having issues with the paid services? I'm trying to transfer a character, but just get an error page.

You may want to try clearing your browser's cache, cookies, temporary Internet files or using a different browser altogether to see if you experience any different results, folks. Should the issue persist, please feel free to contact our Billing Department a call to see if they can assist you with the transfer process.

Hrm. After attempting to recreate this issue on multiple computers, I am unable to recreate this issue, folks. If you are experiencing lasting issues even after clearing your browser and trying a new browser, you may want to contact our Technical Support department to see if they are able to identify any issues which would prevent you from accessing these webpages.

A number of Paid Character Transfers, Faction Changes, and Name Changes have been submitted without issue recently, folks. I sincerely apologize for any frustrations this issue has caused; however, I am unable to identify any issues which may prevent you from completing these transactions.

Typically, the "An Error Has Occurred" message is a result of bad cache data preventing the webpage from properly loading. If the troubleshooting methods I provided do not allow you to complete the transaction, I sincerely apologize, but it is not an issue in which I can assist via the forums. As previously mentioned, you can contact our Technical Support Department to see if they are able to help identify any other possible roadblocks, or you may contact our Billing Department to see if they are able to help submit the transaction.

Again, I sincerely apologize, but this is simply not an issue that we are able to assist with on the World of Warcraft forums.

Hrm. Thank you all for providing these details.

Are all of you trying to access these pages using accounts that have been created using the Recruit-a-Friend promotion?

If so, is your Recruit-a-Friend link still active?

I was able to just remove and re-add my credit card information onto my World of Warcraft account, and it seems that several other subscriptions and credit cards have been processed without any such issues recently.

Are you all only experiencing this issue when using inactive or expired accounts? Or do you experience similar issues with accounts that are up-to-date and have a positive game time balance?

Can each of you log into http://us.battle.net, click your the affected World of Warcraft account.

Are you able to access that page?

If so, copy and paste your "License Status" (i.e. Active (Expires: Feb 2, 2010)) and paste it into this thread.

Hm. This information has been forwarded on to the appropriate parties for further review, but if you would, please provide me with the name and realm of a character on the account(s) which are experiencing this issue on.

The appropriate parties have been notified, but I'm afraid that I do not have any additional details to provide at this time. In the meantime, I encourage you all to continue contacting our Billing Department as they will be able to offer further assistance with these transactions. I know it can be difficult to reach a Billing Representative due to the number of calls being made, but rest assured we're doing everything we can to free up phone lines as quickly as possible.

There was an issue this weekend that may have been related.

When is the last time you tried a transaction - and have you tried clearing your cookies/cache or using another browser? Sometimes something like this can be a browser issue.
