Realm Connectivity Issues - 1/21

Update: Just so the information is more visible I'll post it here. The following information has been posted in our Service Status forum.

The following realms are currently experiencing some stability issues. We are in the process of resolving these issues and expect all realms to be playable by approximately 4:30pm PST.

Greetings, all--

We are presently investigating a realm connectivity issue that is currently preventing players from logging into a number of realms at this time. Technicians are investigating this issue in hopes of making these realms available as soon as possible. While no additional details are available at this time, we will provide updates herein as more information becomes available.

Please keep all discussion related to this issue isolated to this thread to ensure that information can be disseminated easily to all affected players. Should you wish to bring any observations to our attention, please feel free to create a post within this thread so that we may relay it to the appropriate parties.

It is now approximately 4:30. Most of the realms are currently online and the rest are being brought back online as we speak.

Blizzard, do you care more for RP/PVP realms?

We actually don't look at what type of realm it is, Manoxis, unless we are addressing a petition where a specific rule set is in place (i.e. RP realm) and our Realm Technicians certainly could care less about the type of realm.

We don't care if you are Alliance or Horde or if you are on a specific realm or what level you are. The only time that seems to matter to anyone is when they are using it to build their conspiracy theories. :)

The estimate was for approximately 4:30, Deadalus, it is currently 4:50. 20 minutes is not "several hours".

Please note that these issues are still being worked on so it is possible that a realm that has been brought back online may not remain so. They are working to stabilize all the affected realms.

My server is back up, but I still can't log into my main. Every time I try, I get dced. It looks like I am stuck inside of an instance.

Give it a few minutes, Bytemia, the character should be moved to a safe location automatically. If it does not after about 10 minutes or so please submit an in-game petition from an alternate character. Make sure you include the name of the character as well as the word "Stuck" in your petition. A Game Master will be along as soon as possible to move you.

played for an hour earlier then i randomly got DC'd in the Terrokar Forest area. Tried to log back in, DC'd again after 10 seconds. Same thing happens when i try to log back in.
Other characters on the realm are fine BUT Pyronos of Drenden.

As previously stated, Pyronos, if you are unable to log into a specific character please submit an in-game petition from an alternate character. Make sure you list the name and realm of the character you are unable to log into and make sure you include the word "Stuck" in your petition.

This thread seems a tad old and not related to the current issues. There is a sticky at the top of the page that we will provide updates.
