Possible De-level?

My account was hacked I got my password back etc, I noticed my level 72 paladin has been leveld to 80 and is in semi-pvp gear. I know for a fact that the person who hacked my account or who has been playing it has been posting on forums, and has been playing my account activly, I don't think any family has my account information. Not that I know of, I'm not worried that my paladin was leveld to 80, but my warrior that was 70 who i put so much time and effort into is now 75... He has full vengefull / brutal. That just shows how much time I put into him. Anyway blizzard or the GM's can de-level I heard of some one getting de-leveled but only 1 level though. I'm talking about 5 de-levels. If their isn't a way you can than il'l probably end up quiting because all my time went into that warrior and than when I come back from bassics hes leveld and !**! and it really frustrates me.

Unfortunately you heard wrong. Characters can not be deleveled. What you might be talking about is when in the course of an account compromise a toon is transfered to a different server. When this happens they simple restore the toon to the previous state that it was before the transfer.

If a player played the toon before it was moved back and gained a level then those would be lost. However I have never seen a case of Blizzard deleveling a toon that had not been transfered.

Scuba is correct. In cases where a player was able to have their character "De-leveled" it would be as the result of an unauthorized transfer being reversed. When those are reversed the character returns to the source realm in the same state as it left.

It is unlikely that we would be able to remove experience from the character, that is not something we would normally do. Though what can be done would be determined during your compromise investigation, Phiasco. Please leave your petition open, Phiasco, it will be looked into and addressed as soon as possible.
