I had the same problem with my previous mouse ( a Logitech). I'm running Windows 7. They're bound to "shift" and "alt" if that helps.

Hi Magthyra,

If you have UAC on, make sure you're not forcing the game to run at an elevated state (run as administrator). If that ever happens, your mouse software can't send custom keybinds properly over to the game as they're in different states.

I'm assuming you're just using a global profile and not a game specific profile for your mouse software. You can temporarily turn UAC off and see if it'll pass the keybinds properly to the game.

Keep in mind that this will remove the security layer that Vista and 7 has but this will see if the programs are just blocked from talking to one another.

No. We're just seeing if UAC is causing the game to ignore the mouse or vice versa. Turning off UAC keeps it off until you re-enable it. I've used a Razer Lachesis and a boatload of Logitech mice on Windows 7 and none of mine have any troubles with the side buttons.

There's a bad setting somewhere (either your mouse software or the game is running elevated, but it's usually the game) and it's preventing the two from talking to one another. You can try turning on UAC, then right-click your World of Warcraft shortcut and go to Properties. Go to the Compatibility tab and make sure the run as administrator option isn't checked. Restarting the computer and then double-clicking on the shortcut should make it work.

I'm not sure what else could be blocking them, then. The game isn't in a Program Files or Program Files (x86) is it? You're also not using any type of screen overlay programs like Xfire or a game recording program, are you?
