I don't understand why people choose disenchant if they're not enchanters. Instead of getting an item you can vendor for an extra 10g you get a gem/dust/whatever that you can't vendor and just takes up space in your bags.
I use the disenchant so I can stack the materials (like many others). I barely ever look at their worth in the AH to be honest, but I much prefer to have the mats in my bank than having to look for them when I get a new item to enchant.
