Question, is this griefing?

I do a lot of PVP battlegrounds. I have noticed a alarming trend in them that I can't stand.

Racial and other types of slurs.

While I know it is part of any type of community where people feel they are safe behind an unknown character, it still is horrible disturbing and annoying.

So, my question is, If I report them AFK and promote others to do the same would that be considered griefing them?

In random dungeons you can vote kick but in a battleground you have no other viable options.

I am not talking about the normal "your mom" jokes or the BG General that is barking orders and then profanity when they are not followed. I mean things that are over the top unneeded.

The report AFK feature is not to be used to report inaapropriate language, Sithech. The report AFK feature is to be used when players are, well, away from their keyboards; not for other in-game violations.

The best thing to do in these cases would be to open a ticket with the following information:

  • Character name:
  • Realm:
  • Battleground:(if applicable)
  • What was said by the player:

Be sure to also place the player on ignore as well.
