RAF exp bonus/summon not working

I recently used the recruit a friend system to get my friend a trial account which is now upgraded to a standard WoW account. The RAF section of my account management page shows that our accounts are linked (i.e. should be getting the 3x exp and summon ability) but both of these things are missing ingame. Whats the deal?

His RAF page does not show a link. There is no other WoW account present on his battlenet account, just the one he set up to be linked. My account shows a link (green icon) to his account and the 90 day expiration is counting down.

I am attempting to look into this matter for you, Fixkeys. Could you provide the name of your friends character and realm that you are partying with for me?

His name is Rerase, level 1 rogue on Dragonmaw.

Alright, I have reviewed your Recruit-A-Friend invite and it appears to have been claimed on your own Battle.net account. Your friends account was created without the Recruit-A-Friend benefits, which is why you are unable to use them.

If you would like to send out another Recruit-A-Friend e-mail (do not let it be used) I will take the generated key from that e-mail and attach it to your friends full version account so you can both begin benefiting from recruiting :)

Just sent the email out.

I'm not sure how the email that was sent to him activated a trial on my account. I upgraded his account with my card and only entered the number once so is it possible my card was charged twice? If it was can you remove the faulty account and the extra charge made to my card?

There was no extra charge... there is just a trial account on your Battle.net from the Recruit-A-Friend e-mail invite.

... Also... it appears your friend just sent out a Recruit-A-Friend invite to you. He is not really able to recruit you since your account has been around for quite a while. I need you to send one out from your account (like you originally did) and I will be linking it to your friends account.

Its been sent.

It's been linked! You should now start seeing the benefits you two deserve. Have fun!
